FEED Camp 2018
FEED Camp has been a resounding success!
From 8-10 November, the participants had the opportunity to put to practice what they learned from key industry experts.
On Day 1, participants became acquainted with the food industry, and were presented with real world problems. They also had the opportunity to do a food innovation tour courtesy of our partners (list partners), trying out healthier, eco-friendlier food solutions.
Having formed their teams, going into Day 2, the participants learned Design Thinking, and were given the opportunity to put it into practice, as they further defined their chosen problem and how to solve it.
The third day saw the teams refining their ideas, with sharing sessions by Cheng Yew Heng and TRIA. They were also brought on a tour of Temasek Polytechnic’s state-of-the-art facilities.
FEED Camp concluded with a pitching session in front of judges - Team Rescue picking up the top prize with their idea for edible vitamin chips, team Food Flyer in second place with their plan to globalise local hawker food as souvenirs, and team Do Hui Mi rounding off the top 3 with their idea to redistribute surplus food to eco-conscious food businesses.
